JJ’s Retrievers are Linda and Mitch
Patterson of Addison, IL. and our farm in Dongola Il.
JJ’s Retrievers started over 25 years ago with our first Chesapeake’s,
Chips Sweet Sassy Sheila CD and JJ’s Jessie. Our Jessie became
DUAL CH & AFC JJ’s Jessie CD - the first Chessie female EVER to
hold the titles of DUAL CH and AFC.
Jessie’s daughter DUAL CH & AFC JJ’s Chi-Town Blizzard CD MH
then became the first Chessie female with the titles of DUAL CH,
AFC and MH!!!
Jessie and Lizzy qualified for numerous National Championships
with both competing at the same National on several occasions
culminating with one memorable National Amateur where Mitch and
Lizzy honored for Jessie and Linda!
Our first Labrador came to us in 1995 from our friends Jan and
Peggy Anderson owners of Redline Retrievers. Her name is FC-AFC JJ’s
Desire To Go and her name, DESIRE, sums her up! Desi is a DOUBLE HEADER
WINNER, and has qualified for Nationals since the age of two.
All in all we have had the pleasure to train, live with, and compete
with the following Field Champions:

Besides competing with our dogs, both Linda and Mitch are well
known AKC Field Trial Judges. Mitch
judged the 2004 National Amateur Retriever Championship in
Batavia New York and has given Field Trial Judging Seminars.
Linda will judge the 2007 National Amateur Retriever
Championship in Evanston Idaho.
Mitch is also the long-time President of
Midwest Field Trial Club, Vice President of the American Amateur
Retriever Club. Linda serves as Field Trail Secretary for
both clubs along with her long-time involvement with the
American Chesapeake Club of America.
We are the breeders of many dogs that have AKC and UKC titles
which include DUAL CH, FC, AFC, CH, MH, SH, JH, CD, CDX, TD, TDX.
